Recap: McComb Tigers vs. Natchez Bulldogs
After flying high against the Wilkinson County Wildcats last Friday, the McComb Tigers came back down to earth. McComb suffered a tough 55-34 loss at the hands of Natchez on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, McComb can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 217th, while Natchez is ranked 90th).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Natchez to victory, but perhaps none more so than CALEAH KENNEDY, who scored 13 points along with 9 rebounds. KENNEDY hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of FAITH GUTTER, who scored 13 points along with 5 steals.
McComb's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Natchez, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-2-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McComb will take on Vicksburg at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Vicksburg is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses. As for Natchez, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Jefferson County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
