Volleyball Recap: St. Ignatius Beats Medina for Their Third Straight Victory

St. Ignatius won the last time they faced Medina and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Battling Bees with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory was nothing new for the Wildcats as they're now sitting on three straight.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: St. Ignatius took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-5, 25-12, 25-15.

St. Ignatius got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Andrew Brobbey out in front who had 19 assists and two aces. Brobbey has been hot for a while, having posted 19 or more assists the last 28 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Walrod, who had 12 assists and three aces.

They weren't the only good server: St. Ignatius was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in seven consecutive matchups.

St. Ignatius' victory bumped their record up to 15-3. As for Medina, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-6.
