Basketball Recap: Carson Vineyard's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Argonia over South Haven

Argonia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 50-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the South Haven Cardinals. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 46-38 back in December of 2024.

Argonia's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Carson Vineyard, who posted nine points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Jackson Kollmeyer, who put up 11 points.

Argonia's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for South Haven, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Argonia has already played their next matchup (against Sedan), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. South Haven didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 65-48 defeat against West Elk on the 17th.
