Basketball Game Preview: Woodlake Tigers vs. Corcoran Panthers

Woodlake is 0-10 against Corcoran since January of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Tigers take on the Panthers at 7:30 p.m.

Last Wednesday, Woodlake took a blow against Strathmore, falling 58-20. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Corcoran waltzed into their matchup on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 49-43 W against the Spartans. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 375th, while the Spartans are ranked 789th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Corcoran pushed their record up to 21-6 with the win, which was their 22nd straight at home dating back to last season. As for Woodlake, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-17.

Woodlake took a serious blow against Corcoran in their previous matchup two weeks ago, falling 87-31. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Corcoran's Javon Bragg, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 boards.
