Volleyball Game Preview: Virgin Valley Bulldogs vs. Boulder City Eagles

Virgin Valley hasn't had much luck against Boulder City recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will face off against the Eagles at 3:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Virgin Valley comes in on three and Boulder City on ten.

Virgin Valley is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. Everything went their way against Moapa Valley as they made off with a 3-0 win.

Virgin Valley was especially dominant in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-12, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Boulder City faced Valley in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Vikings.

Boulder City didn't let Valley take a single set, but it sure wasn't easy: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-22, 25-22.

Virgin Valley's victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 27-9. As for Boulder City, their win bumped their record up to 30-8.

Virgin Valley might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Boulder City when the teams last played back in April. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
