Softball Game Preview: Cambridge N/A vs. Mechanicville Red Raiders

The Cambridge N/A will venture away from home to take on the Mechanicville Red Raiders at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Cambridge has given up an average of 8.2 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Friday just wasn't the day for Cambridge's offense. They came up short against Tamarac on Friday, falling 13-0. The N/A have struggled against the Bengals recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, Mechanicville came up short against Scotia-Glenville on Sunday and fell 4-1. The Red Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Paige Rogers was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She tossed six innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. Rogers was also solid in the batter's box, earning one run and two stolen bases.

Cambridge suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 2-4. As for Mechanicville, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
