Basketball Recap: Keokuk Takes a Loss

Keokuk was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 58-52 heartbreaker at the hands of the Burlington Grayhounds. The Chiefs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Grayhounds apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.

Keokuk's record now sits at 0-3. As for Burlington, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Keokuk and West Liberty will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Burlington will take on Galesburg in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Burlington is facing Galesburg at the right time seeing as Galesburg is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
