Baseball Recap: Four Straight Home Wins for Central Columbia

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Southern Columbia Area, Central Columbia was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Bloomsburg Panthers. That's more bragging rights for the Bluejays, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Central Columbia pushed their record up to 1-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Bloomsburg, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Central Columbia and Bloomsburg will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. Central Columbia is set to challenge their familiar foe Milton at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Bloomsburg will face off against rival Loyalsock Township at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
