Basketball Recap: Centennial Comes Up Short

Centennial was the 45-20 winner over Wilde Lake when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Centennial Eagles fell 52-40 to the Wilde Lake Wildecats on Wednesday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Centennial's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Wilde Lake, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record this season.

Centennial has already played their next matchup (against Atholton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Wilde Lake will face off against Long Reach at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Long Reach has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
