Recap: Lake Roosevelt Raiders vs. Brewster Bears
The Lake Roosevelt Raiders were the 67-37 winner over the Brewster Bears when they last played one another back in January of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Lake Roosevelt was dealt a 65-34 defeat at the hands of Brewster on Friday.
Brewster's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Pepper Boesel, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. The contest was Boesel's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan McGuire, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds.
Lake Roosevelt's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Brewster, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Roosevelt will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Okanogan at 6:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Brewster won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Quincy at 3:30 p.m. on December 16th. Quincy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings (they are ranked 209th, while Brewster is ranked 15th).
