Baseball Recap: Skyline Comes Up Short

Skyline and Maple Mountain squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Skyline had to settle for second. They came up short against the Golden Eagles, falling 11-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 4-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2021.

Skyline's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-14. As for Maple Mountain, the victory (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 25-1.

While Skyline had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
