For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Adrian and Chelsea meet (six straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Monday. The Maples fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 3-1. The Maples have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Adrian saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryder Borton, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Adrian's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Chelsea, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-5-1.

While Adrian had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
