Soccer Game Preview: Jefferson vs. Edison

The Jefferson Mustangs will head out to challenge the Edison Golden Bears at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Jefferson sitting on four straight wins and Edison on six.

Jefferson took a three-goal defeat the last time they faced off against Seguin, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Mustangs beat the Matadors by a goal, winning 3-2.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Edison). They were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over Lanier on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Edison's win bumped their record up to 11-6-2. As for Jefferson, their victory bumped their record up to 6-8-3.
