Volleyball Game Preview: Crescenta Valley Falcons vs. Arcadia Apaches

The Crescenta Valley Falcons will challenge the Arcadia Apaches at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Crescenta Valley barely beat Pasadena the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Falcons blew past the Bulldogs 3-0 on Tuesday. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Crescenta Valley was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-23, 25-23.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Arcadia, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They walked away with a 3-1 win over Burbank on Tuesday.

Crescenta Valley's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-9. As for Arcadia, their win bumped their record up to 25-3.

Crescenta Valley skirted past Arcadia 3-2 when the teams last played back in March. Will the Falcons repeat their success, or do the Apaches have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
