            Football Recap: Columbia Academy Bulldogs vs. Marshall County Tigers        
        
		
        
        
            
Columbia Academy had lost six straight on the road dating back to last season, but  on Friday they dropped down to 1-6 to make it seven. They were beaten by the Marshall County Tigers 45-0. The shutout was out of character for the Bulldogs seeing as the last time the team failed to score was  back in August.
As for Marshall County, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record  this season. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to yards per carry: they averaged an imposing 6.48 yards per carry in those games compared to only 2.97 in the others.
 Marshall County's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Tot Gardner, who rushed for 73 yards and a pair of  scores on only seven carries.  Aiden Bryant helped out on the ground, rushing for 88 yards.
 Columbia Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the  defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Nashville Christian at 7:00  p.m.  on  the 17th. As for Marshall County, they will take on Montgomery Central at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
