Baseball Recap: Gaffney Takes a Loss

Gaffney lost against Dorman on Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Indians lost 15-4 to the Cavaliers. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gaffney saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sam Carroll, who went 1-for-3 with one home run. Brady Smith was another, going 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.

Gaffney's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Dorman, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gaffney will face off against Boiling Springs at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Indians surely won't give up without a fight. As for Dorman, they will take on Riverside at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
