Softball Preview: Lyndon Tigers vs. Wabaunsee Chargers

Lyndon is 0-9 against Wabaunsee since April of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. The Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Chargers at 4:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Lyndon couldn't beat Council Grove on Friday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fifth inning. The Tigers came up short against the Braves, falling 16-6. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bella Hobbs made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Macy Weece, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Wabaunsee started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Onaga. They lost 12-5 to the Buffaloes on Monday. The Chargers haven't had much luck with the Buffaloes recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Wabaunsee's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Lyndon, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9.
