It's playoff time, and Palisade had no trouble coming through when it counted. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 victory over the Canon City Tigers on Saturday. The win was nothing new for the Bulldogs as they're now sitting on five straight.

Danyel Ishida-Farmer tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over five innings pitched. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April.

On the hitting side, Palisade got a big performance out of Dylon Larson, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Ascher Morby, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Palisade was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .435. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in ten consecutive matchups.

Palisade pushed their record up to 16-8 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Canon City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-10.
