Soccer Recap: Grace Christian Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Grace Christian was the 4-1 winner over Cary Christian when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Crusaders lost 7-2 to the Knights on Thursday. The game got a bit rough at times, as the refs handed out a total of three yellow cards before it was all over: Grace Christian's Brogan Johnston and Colton Weiant and Cary Christian's Emerson Smith were all carded.

Wyatt Peavley and Weiant scored both of Grace Christian's goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

Grace Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Cary Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-2.

Grace Christian wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 3-3 victory against Wake Christian Academy on the 22nd. As for Cary Christian, they will challenge St. David's at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be Cary Christian's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
