Soccer Recap: Onteora Comes Up Short

After flying high against Ellenville last Friday, Onteora came back down to earth. The Eagles lost 4-0 to the Spackenkill Spartans on Saturday. While losing is never fun, Onteora can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York soccer rankings (they are ranked 385th, while Spackenkill are ranked 116th).

Onteora has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-7-2 record this season. As for Spackenkill, their win bumped their record up to 13-2-1.

As of now, neither Onteora nor the Spartans have any future games scheduled.
