Volleyball Recap: Bacon Academy Comes Up Short

If Bacon Academy was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Windham last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bobcats took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Griswold Wolverines on Wednesday. The loss continues a trend for the Bobcats in their meetings with the Wolverines: they've now lost eight in a row.

Bacon Academy started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-23, 25-23, 25-9.

Bacon Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Griswold, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-5.

Bacon Academy has already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Plainfield on the 2nd. As for Griswold, they will face off against Montville at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
