Soccer Game Preview: Carlmont vs. Sequoia

The Carlmont Scots will take on the Sequoia Ravens at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in Carlmont's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Sequoia has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.

Last Friday, Carlmont had just enough and edged South San Francisco out 2-1.

Meanwhile, Sequoia fell victim to Burlingame and their airtight defense on Friday. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 1-0. That's two games in a row now that the Ravens have lost by just one goal.

Sequoia's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8-1. As for Carlmont, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 6-5-1 record this season.

Carlmont came out on top in a nail-biter against Sequoia in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, sneaking past 1-0. Will Carlmont repeat their success, or does Sequoia have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
