Football Game Preview: Highland Rebels vs. Pocahontas Redskins

Highland is 2-8 against Pocahontas since October of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Rebels will be playing at home against the Redskins at 7:00 p.m. Pocahontas took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Highland, who comes in off a win.

Highland took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They breezed past Westside to the tune of 48-0. The result was nothing new for the Rebels, who have now won three contests by 46 points or more so far this season.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Highland's defense and their seven sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Webb Munroe and Tayson Brink, who racked up five sacks between them.

Meanwhile, Pocahontas and Blytheville were almost perfectly matched up on Friday, but Pocahontas suffered a 21-20 defeat.

Pocahontas' loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Highland, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-5 record.

Highland beat Pocahontas 14-6 in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. Will the Rebels repeat their success, or do the Redskins have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
