Basketball Recap: Great Plains Lutheran Falls Short of Clark/Willow Lake in the Playoffs

Great Plains Lutheran and Clark/Willow Lake squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Great Plains Lutheran had to settle for second. They were dealt a 72-42 defeat at the hands of the Clark/Willow Lake Cyclones. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 93rd, while the Cyclones are ranked 15th).

Despite the loss, Great Plains Lutheran still got an impressive performance from Austin Rubendall, who posted ten points and seven boards. Landon Czerwan was another key player, putting up six points and five rebounds.

Great Plains Lutheran now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Clark/Willow Lake, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-4.

Great Plains Lutheran does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Clark/Willow Lake, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 65-43 win against Deuel on the 8th.
