South Central is 10-0 against Washington Township since January of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The South Central Satellites will challenge the Washington Township Senators at 7:00 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

South Central fought the good fight in their overtime game against Morgan Township on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 57-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cherokees.

Despite the loss, South Central got top-tier performance from Samantha Marks, who went 8 of 13 on her way to 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lexi Johnson, who posted nine points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Meanwhile, Washington Township entered their contest against Chesterton on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Washington Township received a blow as they fell 49-33 to Chesterton.

South Central will have to keep a close watch on Gracie Little and Brooklyn Campbell, a pair of players who had a big impact on Washington Township's prior game. Little put up nine points and three steals, while Campbell went 6 of 11 on her way to 13 points and six rebounds. What's more, Campbell also racked up two steals, the most she's had since back in December of 2023.

Washington Township's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-5. As for South Central, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.

South Central didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Washington Township when the teams last played back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 40-35 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for South Central since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
