Softball Recap: Byron-Bergen Takes a Loss

Byron-Bergen made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Attica, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Bees fell just short of the Blue Devils by a score of 4-2 on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Bees in their meetings with the Blue Devils: they've now lost four in a row.

Lauren Gartz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on four hits and racked up nine Ks.

On the hitting side, Byron-Bergen saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lily Stalica, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Byron-Bergen's loss dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Attica, their win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-8.

As of now, neither Byron-Bergen nor the Blue Devils have any future games scheduled.
