Soccer Game Preview: St. Mary's vs. Forge Christian

The St. Mary's Pirates are taking a road trip to challenge the Forge Christian Fury at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. St. Mary's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

St. Mary's managed to slip by Thomas MacLaren School the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Pirates lost 5-1 to the Highlanders on Thursday.

St. Mary's goal came courtesy of Shane Carter, who's now up to eight this season.

Meanwhile, Forge Christian managed to keep up with Denver Christian until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Fury came up short against the Thunder, falling 4-1. Forge Christian just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Forge Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6-2. As for St. Mary's, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7-1.
