Softball Recap: Goleman Takes a Loss

Goleman fell victim to Miami Beach and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 16-0 to the Hi-Tides. Having soared to a lofty 18 runs in the game before, the Gators' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Goleman has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for Miami Beach, they pushed their record up to 10-3 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Goleman will welcome Hialeah Educational Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Biggie have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.91 runs per game on average), something the Gators will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Miami Beach, they will venture away from home to square off against Coral Park at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Rams will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Hi-Tides surely won't give up without a fight.
