Baseball Recap: Seven Straight Home Wins for Harvest Christian Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Harvest Christian Academy). Everything went their way against the Lakehill Prep Warriors on Saturday as the Harvest Christian Academy Saints made off with a 20-6 victory. Considering the Saints have won four matches by more than seven runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Elijah Mann made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Mann was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Drew Fraser was incredible, going 3-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and one double. Noah Boone was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Harvest Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Harvest Christian Academy pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Lakehill Prep, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Harvest Christian Academy will venture away from home to face off against St. Paul's Prep on Tuesday. This will be St. Paul's Prep's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Lakehill Prep, they will head out to challenge Prince of Peace at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
