Baseball Game Preview: Wheelersburg Pirates vs. Westfall Mustangs

The Wheelersburg Pirates will face off against the Westfall Mustangs at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Wheelersburg's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Westfall has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.

Wheelersburg barely beat Zane Trace the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Pirates' pitcher stepped up to hand the Pioneers a 7-0 shutout on Wednesday.

The result came thanks to Ean Conn's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up 14 Ks.

At the plate, Brady Music was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Doss, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, Westfall lost 10-4 to Hamilton Township on Wednesday.

Westfall's loss dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Wheelersburg, their victory bumped their record up to 14-11.
