Hamilton Township hadn't done well against Bloom-Carroll recently (they were 0-8 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, the Hamilton Township Rangers made off with a 29-28 victory over the Bloom-Carroll Bulldogs. The 29-point effort marked the Rangers' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hamilton Township to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alexis Wooten, who posted 12 points and five steals. Wooten is becoming a predictor of Hamilton Township's success: when she posts at least three steals the team is 7-3 (and 5-6 when she doesn't). Another player making a difference was Jael Haynes-Lee, who scored eight points and six rebounds.

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Davynn Miller, who earned 13 points and three steals. Emma Sorrell was another key player, putting up a point and 18 boards.

The win (which was Hamilton Township's third in a row) raised their record to 12-9. As for Bloom-Carroll, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-11.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Hamilton Township beat Bloom-Carroll by a score of 47-37 on Thursday.
