Baseball Preview: Avonworth Antelopes vs. Sissonville Indians        
        
		
            The Avonworth Antelopes will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Sissonville Indians  at 11:00  a.m.  on Tuesday. Avonworth will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more  runs each  contest than the last.
Avonworth's pitching crew heads into the  match  hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed  on Monday. They were the clear victors by  a  15-0 margin over Calhoun Academy. The Antelopes not only won  on Monday, but they posted their biggest win  since April 29, 2024.
 Declan Ehrin looked comfortable as he  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only two  hits over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave  him a new career-low in  earned runs (zero).
 On the hitting side,  Jack Dolan was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with one  home run, four  RBI,  and two  runs. That's the most  hits  he has posted since back in May of 2024.  Michael Libbon was another key player,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances.
 Avonworth  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .706. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their  OBP total in three consecutive  games.
Meanwhile, Sissonville earned  a  5-1 win over Moore Catholic  on Monday. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Indians.
 Eli Simonton made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he  struck out nine batters over  6.2 innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   six  hits. Simonton was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Nathaniel Simonton, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-1.
 Avonworth now  has a winning record of 2-1-1. As for Sissonville, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.
