Soccer Recap: Wadsworth's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Saturday

Wadsworth kept a clean sheet against Green on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Bulldogs. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Wadsworth's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 25th, while Green are ranked 106th).

Justin Lazzaretti was the driving force of Wadsworth's attack as he scored both of Wadsworth's goals, bringing his season total up to eight goals.

Wadsworth's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-0-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those three matches. As for Green, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.

Wadsworth will be playing in front of their home fans against Twinsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Green, they will head out to take on Jackson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
