Athens Drive faced Wakefield in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Jaguars took a 14-0 bruising from the Wolverines. The Jaguars' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Wakefield found their leader in sophomore Quinn Pope, who threw for 172 yards and one touchdown while completing 90.5% of her passes, and also rushed for 30 yards and one TD.

Athens Drive's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-2. As for Wakefield, their victory bumped their record up to 13-0.

Athens Drive wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 19-0 loss against Corinth Holders on the 6th. As for Wakefield, they will square off against Heritage at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
