Volleyball Game Preview: Bridgeland Bears vs. Langham Creek Lobos

Bridgeland is 9-1 against Langham Creek since September of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Bears will host the Lobos at 5:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, Bridgeland didn't have quite enough to beat Cypress Woods and fell 3-2. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Bridgeland started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 22-25, 25-15, 25-16, 15-9.

Bridgeland might have lost, but man, Alexis Couch was a machine: she had 24 digs and three assists. Couch has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last four times she's played.

Meanwhile, Langham Creek lost 3-0 to Cypress Ranch on Tuesday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-20, 25-11.

Bridgeland's defeat dropped their record down to 22-11. As for Langham Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 14-22.

Bridgeland took their win against Langham Creek in their previous matchup back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Bears repeat their success, or do the Lobos have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
