Baseball Recap: Troy Beats Piqua for Their Sixth Straight Win

Troy barely beat Piqua the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Trojans' pitchers stepped up to hand the Indians a 12-0 shutout on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won seven games by seven runs or more so far this season.

The victory (which was Troy's sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-7. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Piqua, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-10.

Coming up, Troy will be playing at home against Springboro at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Piqua, they will venture away from home to face off against Shawnee at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
