Softball Game Preview: Beecher Bobcats vs. Oak Forest Bengals

Beecher is a perfect 4-0 against Oak Forest since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Bobcats will venture away from home to take on the Bengals at 4:30 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Beecher's offense. They lost 10-0 to Lincoln-Way Central on Tuesday. The Bobcats' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Oak Forest also failed to score in their most recent game. They came up short against Lemont on Monday, falling 10-0. The Bengals have struggled against the Lemont HS recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Beecher suffered their first road loss, dropping their record down to 28-2. As for Oak Forest, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-11.

Everything went Beecher's way against Oak Forest in their previous meeting back in May of 2023, as Beecher made off with a 7-1 victory. Will the Bobcats repeat their success, or do the Bengals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
