Flag Football Recap: Fairfield Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Fairfield had won two straight games and Kayana Mickey did her part to make it three on Monday. The Falcons blew past the West Campus Warriors, posting a 34-6 victory with plenty of help from Mickey, who rushed for 176 yards and four scores on only 12 carries. Her longest rush was for an impressive 60 yards, which helps to explain her lofty yards per carry total.

Fairfield's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB three times. Kiara Catindig was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two sacks herself.

Fairfield's win bumped their record up to 15-6. As for West Campus, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Fairfield will square off against rival Burbank at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, West Campus is set to face off against their familiar foe Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
