Basketball Recap: Alabama School for the Deaf Silent Warriors vs. Victory Christian Lions
Alabama School for the Deaf was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. The match between them and the Victory Christian Lions didn't end well, with the Alabama School for the Deaf Silent Warriors falling 46-29. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Silent Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 50-31 back in November of 2024.
It was another big night for Amelia Haney, who posted 11 points and six steals for Victory Christian. Haney is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 29 games she's played dating back to last season. Madelyn Arnold was another key player, putting up eight points and six rebounds.
Alabama School for the Deaf's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Victory Christian, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Alabama School for the Deaf and Wadley will face off at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played. As for Victory Christian, they will challenge Coosa Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
