Softball Recap: Brawley Wildcats vs. Morse Tigers
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Brawley can now relate to. They fell just short of the Morse Tigers by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2022.
Daniella Yescas spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on six hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Brawley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Roslyn Rubio, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.
Brawley's defeat dropped their record down to 11-17. As for Morse, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season.
As of now, neither Brawley nor Morse have any future games scheduled.
