Softball Recap: Marshall Takes a Loss

If Marshall was riding high fresh off their 9-1 takedown of Northwest last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Redhawks fell 11-8 to the Harper Creek Beavers on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Redhawks of the 12-5 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2025.

Addison Carden was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Brooke Carden was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Marshall's defeat dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Harper Creek, they pushed their record up to 20-2 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home.

While Marshall had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
