Softball Recap: Cambria Heights Has No Trouble Against United

While Cambria Heights put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for United. The Highlanders were the clear victors by a 17-0 margin over the Lions. The Highlanders have beaten the Lions the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Lions has come to flipping the script.

Rylee Lane looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Gina Lane, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Lakin Pierce, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

Cambria Heights was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Cambria Heights now has a winning record of 4-3. As for United, they dropped their record down to 0-5 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.
