Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Courtland). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Chancellor Chargers a 20-0 shutout on Tuesday. With that victory, the Cougars brought their scoring average up to 6.5 runs per game.

Makayla Brooks made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Brooklyn Buchanan was a standout: she scored three runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two).
