Baseball Game Preview: Wingate Bears vs. Tohatchi Cougars

Wingate is 2-8 against Tohatchi since April of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Bears will look to defend their home field against the Cougars at 3:00 p.m. Wingate has given up an average of 15.2 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Wingate is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 16 runs on Monday, they were much more limited against Thoreau on Monday. They lost 19-1 to the Hawks. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bears have suffered against the Hawks since March 9, 2023.

Amir Woodie made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in three of his six plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
