Volleyball Game Preview: North Vikings vs. Ellet Orangement

North has not had much luck against Ellet over the past seven seasons, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Vikings will venture away from home to take on the Orangement at 6:00 p.m.

North came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but they unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to Garfield.

North was held off the set scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The final set scores came out to 25-18, 25-18, 26-24.

Kreshma Tamang put forth a good effort for the losing side as she had 19 assists, seven digs, and four aces. The team also got some help from Amoriel Navarro, who had 16 kills.

Meanwhile, Ellet waltzed into their match on Tuesday with five straight wins...and they left with six. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Falcons.

Ellet walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final set scores wound up at 25-20, 25-12, 25-21.

Ellet's win brought them up to 10-6. As for North, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.

North couldn't quite get it done against Ellet the last time they met, two weeks ago as they fell 3-1. Can the Vikings avenge their defeat, or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll have the answer soon enough.
