Oliver Springs came tearing into Friday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Oakdale Eagles as they made off with a 12-2 win. This was payback for the Bobcats, who suffered an 11-6 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Eli Brummett made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Brummett was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Aedyn Pack was a standout: he scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Liam Boeke, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Oliver Springs always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Oakdale only posted an OBP of .238.

Oliver Springs' victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-4. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Oakdale, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-8.

Looking ahead, Oliver Springs is taking a road trip to challenge Jellico at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Oliver Springs is facing Jellico at the right time seeing as Jellico is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Oakdale, they will welcome Harriman at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
