Softball Recap: Chester Takes a Loss

After flying high against Livingston Manor on Tuesday, Chester came back down to earth. The Hambletonians came up short against the Port Jervis Raiders on Wednesday, falling 12-4. The Hambletonians haven't had much luck with the Raiders recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Chester's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Port Jervis, their record is now 2-3.

Coming up, Chester will host Liberty at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Hambletonians are facing the Indians at the right time seeing as the Indians are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Port Jervis, they will head out on the road to square off against Beacon at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Raiders will also cruise into their next game with the timing on their side: the Bulldogs will have lost five straight heading into Friday's contest.
