Basketball Recap: Freedom Takes a Loss

Freedom was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were dealt a 68-12 loss at the hands of the Steinbrenner Warriors. The matchup marked the Patriots' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Steinbrenner's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sarah Coble led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 17 points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was Naomi Parker, who posted 15 points along with eight assists and seven rebounds.

Freedom's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Steinbrenner, their win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-1.

Freedom has already played their next game, a 59-11 loss against East Bay on the 21st. As for Steinbrenner, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 71-38 victory against Armwood on the 21st.
