Baseball Recap: James Kenan Takes a Loss

James Kenan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 14-3 to the Southwest Onslow Stallions. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 20-0 to the Stallions when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Eli Avent was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 1-for-2. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged three or more in each of the last three games he's played.

James Kenan's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Southwest Onslow, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

James Kenan has already played their next contest, a 12-2 loss against East Duplin on the 25th. As for Southwest Onslow, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 6-0 defeat against South Lenoir on the 21st.
