Soccer Recap: Southridge Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Southridge kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell 5-3 to the Evansville Central Bears. If Southridge were looking for revenge after losing 3-2 to Evansville Central when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Anderson Elshoff and Caden Jackson scored all three of Southridge's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

The victory got Evansville Central back to even at 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southridge will venture away from home to take on Heritage Hills at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Evansville Central, they will head out to square off against Evansville North at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
